Dr. Heidi Riney

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Heidi Riney is Chief Medical Officer at Nox Health and is responsible for leading medical operations, driving healthcare innovation, playing a supportive role in medical device technology development, and in helping to advance sleep research initiatives and improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Riney is board-certified in sleep medicine and neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and National Sleep Foundation (NSF), where she serves on the Communications Committee.

She completed her medical training at Wake Forest, neurology residency and neurophysiology fellowship at Emory University and sleep medicine fellowship at FusionSleep. 

She has been a Castle and Connolly Top Doctor and named on their Exceptional Women in Medicine listing. She has also been a Forbes Health Advisory board member since 2023.

Dr. Mark Cunningham-Hill

Dr. Cunningham-Hill is an employee health expert known for his ability to create, identify and implement high-quality workplace health programs including prevention and screening, chronic illness interventions, and mental health and wellbeing initiatives. His broad occupational medicine and public health experience encompasses addressing chronic diseases impacting employers, employees and communities within the context of  social, cultural and racial determinants of health.

Mark has served as the Medical Director for Northeast Business Group on Health since early 2018. Until 2017, he served as Senior Director, Global Solutions Center and Head of Occupational Medicine at Johnson & Johnson, Inc . At J&J, Mark led a team of experts covering occupational medicine, health and wellness, personal energy management, EAP and mental wellbeing, and work-life effectiveness, and supported regional operational groups delivering health services to 135,000 employees in 120 companies. Prior to seven years at J&J, Mark spent 17 years at GlaxoSmithKline in both London and Philadelphia, including as Head of Global Operations, Employee Health Management.

Mark received his MB ChB, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Manchester University in the UK. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, and the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, London.

Michael Rendel, MD - Advisory Board Member

Michael is the firm’s global medical advisor. He is also a senior managing director champion from the Human Capital Management Division for the Disability Interest Forum. Previously, Michael served as global head of Benefits and Wellness until 2019. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2009 as US medical director and was named managing director in 2013.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was medical director at Merrill Lynch from 2007 to 2009. Previously, he was a physician in private practice in Manhattan from 1990 to 2007, specializing in internal medicine and infectious diseases. During that time, Michael also served as a medical consultant at Merrill Lynch.

He serves on the board of the Northeast Business Group on Health. From 2009 to 2017, Michael also served on the board of Fedcap, a nonprofit that works to remove barriers to employment for the disabled and disadvantaged.

Michael earned a BA in Biology from Brown University in 1979 and an MD from the University of Maryland in 1984. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1987 and in Infectious Diseases at New York University in 1990.
