Manager, Programs and Grants
Position Summary
The Manager of Programs and Grants supports the coordination, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of NEBGH’s grant-funded initiatives and broader year-round program portfolio, encompassing all programmatic activities outside of NEBGH’s in-person conferences. This includes webinars, virtual and hybrid educational programs, employer collaboratives, member convenings, and other strategic initiatives. The role ensures compliance with grant requirements, supports program design and delivery, manages stakeholder engagement, and tracks outcomes across the full portfolio. NEBGH’s grant-funded work takes several forms—including employer consortia, topic-specific convenings, and multi-employer learning collaboratives—all of which rely on external funder support and active employer participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Program Coordination
- Manage day-to-day operations of NEBGH’s grant-funded initiatives, ensuring alignment with grant objectives, funder deliverables, and employer commitments.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation for each initiative.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation.
- Program Coordination
- Manage the day-to-day operations of NEBGH’s full program portfolio outside of the organization’s in-person conferences, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and member needs.
- Plan and execute webinars, virtual and hybrid educational programs, employer forums, learning collaboratives, and other member engagement activities.
- Oversee program schedules, logistics, communications, and participant experiences while tracking outcomes and recommending enhancements to strengthen impact and engagement.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Track deliverables, milestones, and performance metrics required by funders.
- Prepare interim and final grant reports, including narrative summaries and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, budget parameters, and reporting deadlines.
- Program Development & Implementation
- Support the design and execution of grant-funded programs, workshops, and activities.
- Conduct research on best practices, emerging trends, and evidence-based approaches relevant to each initiative.
- Assist in developing content, materials, and resources for program participants.
- Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Support funder and partner relationships under the direction of the VP, handling day-to-day coordination, meeting preparation, and follow-through on commitments.
- Participate in meetings, calls, and presentations related to grant activities.
- Support communication with participants, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Data Management & Evaluation
- Use Salesforce or other systems to track participation, outcomes, and program impact.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to inform program improvements.
- Contribute to evaluation frameworks and measurement strategies.
- Professional Development
- Stay informed on grant management best practices and relevant healthcare or public health trends.
- Participate in internal and external learning opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in event planning, program coordination, or related field.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting marketing, event, or promotional materials.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.
- Comfort with virtual event platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
