Janet Choi, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Janet Choi is the Chief Medical Officer at Progyny, where she leads the company’s clinical strategy and ensures Progyny’s solutions deliver the highest quality care across the family building and women’s health continuum. A double board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and OB/GYN, Dr. Choi brings over three decades of clinical leadership and hands-on patient care experience to Progyny’s mission of expanding access, improving outcomes, and setting a new standard in reproductive healthcare.

Before joining Progyny, Dr. Choi served as Medical Director at CCRM New York and previously held academic and clinical leadership roles at Columbia University Medical Center, where she was Director of Onco-Fertility and Co-Director of the Fertility Preservation Program. She has authored numerous publications and lectures nationally on fertility preservation, onco-fertility, and reproductive aging.

Dr. Choi is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), sits on the medical advisory board of The Chick Mission, and serves as a medical advisor to Respin Health. She is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctor”, one of New York Magazine’s Top Doctors, and a Castle Connolly Exceptional Woman in Medicine.

Dr. Choi earned her A.B. in English literature from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude. She received her M.D. and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Weill Cornell Medical College.
